White Christmas Saint Louis Theatre reviews
Robert Plant and Band of Joy are amazing BUT...
I was very pleased to hear that White Christmas has NOT become the typical dried up old rocker. He has continually explored and grown in talent, making the music even more enjoyable for the audience. This is not a Led Zeppelin concert, and it shouldn't be. He graciously performs Zeppelin hits without attempting to be his 1970's self, which is great music even if you don't know Led Zeppelin. White Christmas has managed to embrace his past without reliving it. Bravo!
My ONLY disappointment is that the sound crew overdrove the venue, causing the band's harmony to be lost in distortion. Turning down the volume a couple of notches would have solved the issue. It was hard to comprehend what anyone was saying when they spoke. Despite the acoustics problem, it was an amazing concert that I would gladly see again.
